Enhancing Individuals and a Learning Culture at LEM
At LEM, valuing the people who work within the company is fundamental. Every year, more than 300 employees receive training and additional refresher hours beyond those required, for a total of 1,600 hours annually.
In 2024, we decided to organize an annual training event during the Christmas season, creating a special occasion not only to learn but also to strengthen our bonds as part of one unified team.
This is how Christmas Learning was born: an event designed to give value to LEM employees. Thanks to the contribution of carefully selected internal speakers and external guests invited each year, relevant and inspiring topics are explored, ranging from professional to personal development, offering meaningful insights across the board.
Training Young People as a Corporate Value
We have always firmly believed in the importance of investing in the education of future generations. For this reason, over the years we have played a leading role in promoting training programs and initiatives:
ISIS Valdarno
Every year, we host training days with students from ISIS Valdarno, Chemistry, Materials, and Biotechnology Program – Chemistry and Materials track. We also donated the components needed to build Hull cells to the school’s chemistry lab, and our laboratory technicians visited the institute to help students assemble them and teach them how to prepare test plates.

Heritage
LEM history: since 1974, a journey of innovation and craftsmanship
LEM
Since 1974, we have firmly believed in the potential of people and in the protection of craftsmanship applied to the industrial process, focusing on the quality of Made in Italy and technological progress.
A 50-year-long story of passion
LEM was founded in 1974 in the heart of Valdarno, from the vision and determination of Dino Franco Gualdani and Franco Rosadini. With a long artisanal tradition behind them and a spirit turned to the future, Gualdani knew how to transform an ambitious project into an industrial reality capable of becoming a benchmark for galvanic and PVD treatments applied to fashion and luxury accessories.
From the beginning, LEM has embraced a philosophy that combines artisanal attention to detail with the adoption of innovative technologies. This unique combination has allowed the company to grow rapidly and win the trust of major brands in the fashion and luxury sector, becoming synonymous with quality and reliability.
Dino Franco Gualdani was a forerunner for his time: he decided to bet on his territory and believed in the possibility of innovating and staying one step ahead.

LEM: Innovation and Tradition at the Service of the Future
Since its inception in 1974, LEM has never stopped evolving and looking towards the future. It equipped itself with an in-house chemical laboratory for immediate improvement of processes and, a few years later, anticipated industry trends by choosing to invest in physical vapor deposition (PVD) treatments, which at the time were still seldom used in the treatment of luxury metal accessories.
Upon reaching its fiftieth year, LEM can boast one of the largest automatic galvanic plants for accessories in Europe, a state-of-the-art manual galvanic facility, and a dedicated team focusing on ESG issues.
2008
LEM LAB was established, the internal chemical laboratory dedicated to the analysis and improvement of processes.
2016
The PVD Division was created, expanding the offering with innovative solutions for surface coating.
2025
A new facility and LEM Fenice, a cutting-edge manual electrodeposition plant, were inaugurated.
A continuous commitment to the future
After 50 years, LEM continues to grow while remaining faithful to its values: promoting the craftsmanship of Made in Italy, investing in technological innovation and maintaining a strong link with the territory.
2024, the year of the 50th anniversary, marks a further milestone: LEM has become the first Italian company in the metal treatment sector to obtain RJC certification for the ethical sourcing of gold and palladium, a result that confirms its commitment to sustainable and ethical practices.
Our success is yours.
From a small plant in Valdarno to an internationally renowned company: the history of LEM is a testament to how passion, innovation and vision can transform an idea into a successful industrial reality. Entrust your idea to our experts.
