Its purpose is to seal and protect the substrate from the chemical attack of subsequent baths, particularly the acid one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Acid copper<\/strong>, composed of copper sulfate, sulfuric acid, chlorides, and organic additives (brighteners and levelers), is <strong>applied over the alkaline layer<\/strong>. It has a lamellar deposition with excellent filling properties and levels surface micro-imperfections, improving the aesthetics of the piece and giving it a brilliant appearance.
